Detailed Description

Home theater owners now can achieve breathtaking Cinemascope images without the black bars associated with letterboxing, courtesy of the Cine-Digitar Anamorphic 1.33x M Lens from Schneider Optics. The lens enables 16:9 projectors to create a sharp 2.35:1 distortion-free image that utilizes every pixel and fills the entire screen.

The anamorphic lens also can expand 4:3 images to a 16:9 aspect ratio. Similarly, high-definition video that's been downconverted can be shown at its original aspect ratio, also without distortion.

The Cine-Digitar 1.33x M Anamorphic Lens performs the same functions as the original 1.33x lens, but is made to work with larger diameter zoom lenses and shorter throw ratios.

Schneider offers two solutions for deploying the lens in virtually any type of installation. The Kino-Linear system is a motorized mechanism that slides the anamorphic lens into and out of the light path of the projector by means of a 12-volt trigger or contact closure. The Kino-Torsion system swings the lens into and out of position with a motion similar to that of a door.

For a true cinematic experience from your digital home theater projector, the Cine-Digitar Anamorphic 1.33x M Lens is not merely an accessory, it's a necessity.

Creates True Cinemascope Experience
The Cine-Digitar Anamorphic Lens enables 16:9 aspect ratio digital projectors to create full-screen 2.35:1 (Cinemascope) images on superwide format home theater screens.

Eliminates Letterboxing's Black Bars
With all of the projector's pixels being used, the black bars common to letterboxing are eliminated and the resulting image fills the full height and width of the screen with images of superior brightness and maximum resolution.

Expands 4:3 Images to 16:9 Aspect Ratio
The Schneider Cine-Digitar Anamorphic Lens can also be used to expand 4:3 images to a 16:9 aspect ratio. High-definition video that has been down-converted to standard-definition (with the squeeze option) can be projected at the original aspect ratio without distortion of the image's geometry.

Works with Larger Zoom Lenses
The Cine-Digitar 1.33x M Anamorphic Lens performs the same functions as the original 1.33x lens, but is designed to work with larger diameter zoom lenses and shorter throw ratios.

Easy Deployment Mechanisms Available
The anamorphic lens is deployed by one of two mechanisms. The Kino-Linear system is a motorized mechanism designed to automatically slide the lens precisely into and out of position in the light path of a digital projector. Automatic deployment is accomplished by using a 12-volt trigger or contact closure. The Kino-Torsion deployment mechanism swings the anamorphic lens precisely into and out of position in a motion similar to the swing of a door.
